Genetically Modified Foods

Genetically Modified (GM) foods is food obtained from those organisms which have been altered genetically in such a manner that does not happen normally, for example through the transfer of a genetic quality from a different organism. At present usual genetically modified foods are generally derived from plants, yet later on food will also be obtained from Genetically Modified microorganisms or GM animals are probably going to be available soon. Mostly genetically modified crops have been created to improve yield, through the new ability of resistance to plant diseases or of being able to survive herbicides.

Later on,Genetic engineering could be used for changing and most likely increasing the nutrient constituents of food, diminishing its allergenic potential, or improving the productivity of food production frameworks. All Genetically modified need to be surveyed before being permitted into the markets or made public.
